Week in Paradise :)

Hello everyone!
Time for another blogie update I suppose. I know I was very naughty by not doing a blog for a month, so i will try and keep up and do one every week from now on :)

In the 2nd week of the holidays, I went to a city called Sao Joao Del Rei with one of the members of my club, Rita, and her daughter Cissa.

Sao Joao, is a country town about 3 hours away from Belo Horizonte. It has a population of about 95 thousand people, so pretty much the same size as Ballarat.

I didn't realise how much I missed the peace and quiet of a country town!

Ritas house is amazing! It was so big, with three stories, and had a massive yard with lots of grass to walk bare foot on :)

Sao Joao is over 300 years old, and is such an old historic town, with amazing buildings and streets. i loved it!

All week, there was a festival, called inverno cultural, which means winter culture. so every night there were shows and bands playing and lots of cool stuff, so we went out EVERY night!

i made so many friends and rita said that i can come back with them when ever they go back to sao joao!

Two days ,we went to tiradents, which is another very old historic city that is very close by. one of the days, we went by steam train, like puffing billy :) it was fun and we also went in a little tour of the city on a horse buggy :)

one of the bands we saw was called Rocknova. They were really good, and I bought their cd afterwards. They are playing in Belo horizonte on the 25th, so we are going to all get together and go and see them play!

on the day before we left, we had a birthday party for cissa, she turned 20 :)
it was an amazing day with all her friends and family, and turned into an amazing night too :)

pretty much now, i will put up photos and label them for you to see what i did all week, and the amazing places i have been :)

This church is in Tiradentes and has a stack-load of gold inside it, but we didn't get to go inside :(
